Keating’s Rope & Anchor, Bar + Kitchen at The Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing rebranded an existing restaurant. The project included many high-end finishes, including a curved bar with a ceramic tile and steel face and marble tops. A curtainwall was added to the exterior behind the bar to provide views to the Delaware River, ceilings were opened up, and a sail boat was hung between two columns to provide a nautical look to the space. This was an eight-week renovation with many challenges including keeping the kitchens, Grab ‘N Go, and bar open while the renovation took place. This required providing the food service staff safe access through the space at all times, as well as relocating the Grab ‘N Go and bar to the lobby with temporary millwork and MEP connections. The project was completed on time and the rebranded restaurant opened in time for Memorial Day weekend.
