Public Health Management Corporation – Child Care Facility

This new child care facility for PHMC is located on the concourse level at 1500 Market Street. The previous occupant at the site was a branch bank which contained a 600 SF vault consisting of 18” thick concrete walls. The vault now contains one of two playground areas with jungle gyms and synthetic turf. The new space also holds a full-service kitchen capable of providing fresh meals throughout the day. In each classroom are toddler-friendly amenities such as bathrooms, heated floors, seating, and decorative clouds and wall panels. A Lutron lighting system was installed in order to accommodate toddler and infant nap times. PHMC desired using reclaimed materials such as barn doors, trusses, and lumber which were used at the toddler arts and crafts studio at the daycare entrance.
