The Pyramid Club was an occupied phased renovation of the existing space on the 52nd floor of 1735 Market Street. Since the Club had not been renovated in over 20 years, the goal was to update its appearance to help attract the next generation of Philadelphia’s social and business leaders. The renovation was focused on the reception area, bar, and lounge for the majority of the project, with a sleek, elegant design. A new custom- designed bar is the focal point of the redesigned Club. Custom chandeliers, communal tables, beer towers, and vinyl images were important aspects of the final design.
INTECH performed all of the demolition and renovation work while the Club stayed in operation, which required temporary partitions, temporary doors, and off-hours work. Full operation of the Club was maintained throughout the renovation, made possible by maintaining cleanliness, controlling noise, and closely coordinating all aspects of the project with the Club staff and building maintenance department. Working in an operational Club meant that work occasionally had to be redirected to an area that was not being used. Nonetheless, INTECH achieved the scheduled end date in time for an annual event that the Club could not afford to miss.
