Located across School House Lane from the William Penn Charter School campus in East Falls, this athletics project definitively extends the campus’ reach. The project includes a new synthetic turf baseball field with geometry similar to that of the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park, as well as new walkways and parking surrounding the field, team dugouts, and two support buildings for athletic storage. Two new rain gardens will be used as an educational opportunity for students. The project had an aggressive schedule, including working through a winter season, to ensure the field was ready for the start of the spring baseball season.
